#RPG MAKER 2000 RTP LIST WINDOWS 8#
Have you installed the RTP files in the correct directories? I'm not sure about Windows 8 (though I don't imagine it would be too different) but Windows 7 has them in the Common Files>Enterbrain> RPG Maker 2000/2003 folders and that works a-okay. Here's an image of what mine looks like as a reference: Hopefully it'll find the MaterialPath in the registry and work fine. Try running RM2k / the rm2k game you want to play. In the white area put in the folder path to the RTP, like "C:\Games\RM2k\RTP" from the start of this. This should bring up a new dialog window that has a 'Value Name' with 'MaterialPath' at the top you can't change and below it a 'Value Data' with a white box in it that you can edit. Double click the row with 'MaterialPath'. If you lose focus or something and you can't edit the name select the row and hit F2 and you can rename the name. Hover over new and select "String Value". This will open a menu where the only option is "New->". If you do not have a value named MaterialPath in the names column: Right click in some white space in the right pane. Look for the name 'MaterialPath' in the names column. This should fill the right pane of regedit with some values in a table: A column of some names like ApplicationPath, FullScreenFlag, MaterialPath, etc., a column of REG_SZ, and a data column with various values. This will create a new folder under ASCII. If you do not have a folder called RPG2000: Right click on the ASCII folder and go to New->Key. Click on ASCII to expand it and look for a folder called RPG2000, it should probably be the only folder. This will create a new folder under Software.

If you do not have a folder called ASCII: Right click on the Software folder and go to New->Key. Expand 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' and then find and open the 'Software' folder. If you only see Computer then click on it to open it up which should show the above. On the left side of regedit is a list of folders called 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT', 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER', 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE', etc. This will prompt an administrator access prompt which you should allow. In the field you can type next to open type in "regedit" and hit OK. Then when in desktop mode hit the Windows key + R to open the run dialog window. For the sake of this example we'll assume it is "C:\Games\RM2k\RTP". Copy the RTP files from your old computer to your new one and remember the folder where you put it. If my instructions don't match what you can do I would recommend stopping and letting me know. As long as you are careful and follow the instructions there shouldn't be a problem. This involves editing the registry of your computer which can be dangerous since it's possible to change a system setting and break Windows. Bring new life to classic RTP characters and combine with Tyler’s other packs for an ever expansive library in the same fun style, likened to Dragon Quest or a children’s book illustration.I don't use Windows 8 so these instructions might not be right but I'll give it a shot. Tyler’s delightful and unique style has been applied to the default Run-Time Package (RTP), matching all 32 monsters from the Monster 1-3, and Big Monster 1-2 sprite sheets. This pack features 50 battlers, including 33 RTP-matching monsters and 17 Tyler Warren original characters. Tyler Warren is back again with this 4th set of 50 battlers, this time re-imagining the default RPG Maker VX Ace batters.
